  • The population of the fair is around 200 – 300 people and the hall size is about 2 classrooms. 60% of the Indonesian Chinese that came by our booth spoke Hokkien and the rest spoke English.
  • Some students came by the booth as they were curious. Scholarship is an important factor.
  • According to the agents and other institution staffs, it is somewhat their culture to look for scholarships and in fact, they will enroll beforehand to secure their scholarship.
  • The Agent gave promotion for free ticket flights or IELTS fee if the student register during the fair.
  • The Agent also did a “free mock IELTS exam” whereby they were able to attract students.
  • IMPERIA College can consider Medan a place for student recruitment by working closely with the local agent.
  • The amount of leads collected is 23 and overall it was a successful fair attended.

Biography

Dr. Sr Murni Mohamad is a distinguished academic leader with over a decade of experience in the higher education industry. She holds a Ph.D. in Real Estate from Universiti Malaya, where she also completed her Master’s degree.

Prior to her appointment as CEO, Dr. Murni demonstrated exceptional leadership within the academic sector. She previously served as Head of Department at International College Imperia and as a Programme Manager at the University of Malaya-Wales (UMW). Her administrative expertise is highlighted by her proven track record in securing full five-year accreditation for multiple degree programs from both the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BoVAEP) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Dr. Murni is deeply committed to bridging the gap between academic theory and professional practice. She is a registered member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM). Her active research portfolio focuses on the intersection of technology and property, with recent publications addressing ICT adoption among real estate agents in Malaysia.
