English Intensive Programme

IMPERIA Intensive English programme (IIEP) has been created to equip our graduates with the language skills necessary for the 21st century.

– The IIEP offers students a pathway to success in higher education as it fast-tracks the mastery of the English language efficiently and effectively.

– It does this by employing the proven communicative approach to language learning with a wide range of lively and highly interactive class activities.

– These activities challenge our students’ abilities while allowing them to have fun developing their English skills.

English Placement Test

Students who wish to enrol for Imperia Intensive English programmes are required to sit for an English Placement Test (EPT) in order to fulfil the language requirements set by the college. Students will be streamed according to their level of proficiency:

      This programme constitutes 4 levels from beginning to advanced and these levels provide sufficient language support with its strong focus on the four skills (reading, listening, writing & speaking) as well as general English skills (grammar & vocabulary), this programme meets all the English requirements of the students.

Study Duration:
14 weeks, 336 hours course (280 hours face to face classes, 28 hours online and 28 language based interactive activities)

Biography

Dr. Sr Murni Mohamad is a distinguished academic leader with over a decade of experience in the higher education industry. She holds a Ph.D. in Real Estate from Universiti Malaya, where she also completed her Master’s degree.

Prior to her appointment as CEO, Dr. Murni demonstrated exceptional leadership within the academic sector. She previously served as Head of Department at International College Imperia and as a Programme Manager at the University of Malaya-Wales (UMW). Her administrative expertise is highlighted by her proven track record in securing full five-year accreditation for multiple degree programs from both the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BoVAEP) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Dr. Murni is deeply committed to bridging the gap between academic theory and professional practice. She is a registered member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM). Her active research portfolio focuses on the intersection of technology and property, with recent publications addressing ICT adoption among real estate agents in Malaysia.
