New hotels grow like mushrooms; our sister company Bukit Gambang Resort City with a rooms inventory of more than 2,000 hotel rooms, and new attractions such as Safari Park eventually offering various positions and employments. Jobs demand has never been surplus for this industry, realizing this great opportunity IMPERIA College (ICH) was born.

IMPERIA COLLEGE was established in 2011 from the industry and our ambitions to educate our youth in the hospitality and return them with a promising career to the industry.

Our teaching and learning could not be more fun and exciting with a work-based learning. Our students will undergo a hands-on training during first year of mix learning; theory and practical class in our modern and state-of-the-art facilities such as kitchen of 5-star hotel standard. In a second year student will experience a real-life scene of hotel, theme park and resort operations where students learn and attach to the hotel or theme park weekly for them to practice their knowledge and skills attained from the theory class.

This unique approach is made only possible since IMPERIA COLLEGE could be the only college in Malaysia residing in a hotel, resort or theme park at one place.

Our Programmes

  • DIPLOMA IN HOTEL MANAGEMENT

    This programme exposes students to the expectations of the hospitality industry and train student to be a hotelier. Students will be expected to perform to a vital hospitality aspect such as food and beverage, room division operations, marketing and management.

    Graduates of this programme would also be exposed to both the theoretical and practical aspects but what is important a real-life experience in a hotel operations when student undergo a work-based learning in a second year.

    You will be groomed, trained and educate to be positively contribute and enhance the service level in the hospitality industry!

  • DIPLOMA IN EVENT MANAGEMENT

    This programme will train students to expertly perform or manage a real-life situations of an event. It will bring out the innovative and creativity of student managing an event with a practical and participation of planning and managing event at one of the biggest convention centre in Malaysia, at Bukit Gambang Resort City at which can accommodate 3,000 visitors at one time.

    Graduates of this programme would also be exposed to both the theoretical and practical aspects but what is important a real-life experience in a hotel and convention centre operations when student undergo a work-based learning in a second year.

    You will be groomed, trained and educate to be positively and capable in planning, designing and managing from a small scale to a large scale events!

  • DIPLOMA IN TOURISM MANAGEMENT

    This programme gives an in-depth knowledge and skills of a tourism industry, nurtures student of professionalism, positive characteristics together with the skills and knowledge you attained from ICH and our work-based study to expand your horizon further.

    Graduates of this programme would also be exposed to both the theoretical and practical aspects but whats important a real-life experience in a tourism business activities and attractions when student experience a work-based learning in a second year.

  • DIPLOMA IN THEME PARK & ATTRACTIONS MANAGEMENT

    ICH the only College in Malaysia could offer an exciting programme exposes students to the expectations of the real-life operations of theme park as ICH situated and collaborated with Bukit Gambang Resort City. Students will be expected to perform to a vital operations in a theme park from basic planning and designing of theme park to operate and manage a theme park.

    You will be groomed, trained and educate to be positively contribute and enhance the service level in the hospitality industry!

  • DIPLOMA IN CULINARY ARTS

    If you have the desire to be one of the renown Cook or Chef, then this programme is an initial start for you to build the knowledge, skills and professionalism in the culinary world.

    Graduates of this programme would also be exposed to both the theoretical and practical aspects but whats important a real-life experience in a hotel operations when student undergo a work-based learning in a second year. Furthermore the students would have an opportunity to prepare meals in the practical kitchen but serving to customer with guidance of our trained academic staff.

    The course not only developing the craftsmanship skill but also provides students with the necessary supervisory and technical skills which are essential in the field of culinary arts. The course also focuses on subjects such as management, accounting, marketing, human resource, facilities and entrepreneurship which will enable students to have further in-depth understanding of the industry.

  • DIPLOMA IN RESORT MANAGEMENT

    If you have the desire to be a future Resort Manager or General Manager, then this programme is an initial start for you to build the knowledge, skills and professionalism in the resort.

    Graduates of this programme would also be exposed to both the theoretical and practical aspects but what’s important a real-life experience in a hotel operations when student undergo a work-based learning in a second semester. Furthermore this diploma programme is a full work base learning (WBL) diploma programme and the duration is only two (2) years. What’s interesting on this programme is more practical approach and students will understand and learn fast of each syllabus.

    Beware with all interesting learning process as this programme give student insight of resort operations from hotel to theme park. Our concept of WBL programme; all places in the resort are learning place.

Minimum entry requirements

  • Diploma in Hotel Management
  • Diploma in Event & Entertainment Management
  • Diploma in Tourism Management
  • Diploma in Theme Park & Attractions Management
  • Diploma in Culinary Arts
  • Diploma in Resort Management
    1. SPM 3 credits of any subjects, or
    2. SPM 1 credit with any Certificate with CGPA 2.0 or SKM Level 3 of relevant course, or
    3. Senior Middle III- 5 passes including English, or
    4. ‘O’ Levels- 3 credits with pass in English, or
    5. Other equivalent qualifications
    6. Relevant work experience for mature students

Minimum entry requirements

Certificate in Hotel Operations

  1. 1 SPM credit – with a minimum pass in Bahasa Malaysia, or
  2. ‘O’ Levels- 1 credit, or
  3. PMR with Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia of hospitality or tourism courses such as Kitchen Practice Level 1 & 2 , Accommodation Practice of Level 1, Reception Techniques Level 2, Tourist Guide Level 3, or
  4. Other equivalent qualifications

At IMPERIA College, we not only provide good quality education, we also provide the means by which you can obtain financial aid and assistance from several financial institutions and Foundation which offers study loans at a very competitive rate. To help you realise your dreams, students can gain access to and obtain facility from by completing and providing the relevant forms and information as laid out by each of these institutions. Option 1 – Come and Visit IMPERIA

Take the time to visit the campus offering the programme of your choice. This will give you a chance to speak to our counsellors and staff personally, to get answers to your questions and to get assistance to register for the programme and what is more you able to see facilities yourself.
